VDS disinfection system
VDS (Vitali Disinfection System) is our certified disinfection and sanitization system for our dental units. It was first designed by our Research & Development department and then tested by qualified laboratories. VDS is a complex device that combines state-of-the-art technology, medical devices and tested procedures. It has been proven that VDS is effective in reducing bacterial contamination in the water circuit of dental units, delaying biofilm formation. In fact, the medical device called Multiclean, used in VDS for disinfection, can effectively fight bacteria (such as Legionella pneumophila), fungi, HIV, HBV and HCV. All our dental units can include the VDS system where requested. However, it must be integrated at the time of buying the unit: VDS cannot be applied to a VITALI unit that has already been delivered and is operational.

Find out how to perform the two disinfection cycles (fast and slow). To ensure the best hygienic and safety conditions for both patients and operators, we suggest running the fast disinfection cycle at the end of each treatment. The slow cycle, instead, should be run at the end or at the beginning of the day.
MULTICLEAN disinfectant
MULTICLEAN is a ready-to-use disinfectant containing Benzalkonium chloride and Chlorhexidine digluconate, effective against bacteria, fungi and viruses such as HIV (AIDS), HBV (hepatitis B), HCV (hepatitis C), lipophilic viruses (such as adeno, herpes, vaccinia, influenza), and has a tubercolostatic and sporostatic action. MULTICLEAN has a pleasant scent and does not stain or corrode synthetic fabrics and plastic materials. It is ideal for the disinfection, between one patient and the next one, of handpieces, instrument-holder surfaces, the lamp, chair and spittoon.
Bactericidal UV lamp
It is a device that treats the mains water flowing into the dental unit with UV rays, reducing the bacterial load. All our dental units can include the UV bactericidal lamp where requested.
Independent supply system for instruments
It is a very interesting solution, especially for those who frequently perform dental surgery and thus require greater safety with respect to the patient. The system offers the possibility to supply sterile liquid to the dental instruments as an alternative to mains water. All our dental units can include the independent supply system for instruments where requested.
Autoclavable components
Among the various solutions adopted to ensure the utmost hygiene, VITALI dental units are equipped with a series of autoclavable and removable components. These are the stainless-steel tray-holder with its silicon protection, the instrument holder, the handles of the operating lamp, the accessories supplied with the spittoon and the aspiration manifold filter. Autoclave disinfection and the regular replacement of these components ensure the thorough sanitization of the most easily contaminated operating areas.
